Dr. Luan completed her specialty training in periodontics and earned her Master of Dental Science degree at the University of Pittsburgh, after having received her DDS degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. Before specializing, Dr. Luan practiced as a general dentist in California, providing comprehensive restorative, preventive, and surgical care. This experience continues to shape Haipei's patient-centered approach, with an emphasis on comprehensive treatment planning and interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues to coordinate care.

During her residency, Dr. Luan conducted research on peri-implant tissue health and presented her work at meetings of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration. Her thesis received the Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award from the University of Pittsburgh. Haipei also received a Clinical Research Award at the Ramfjord Symposium.

Dr. Luan's clinical interests include reconstructive and regenerative periodontal therapies, implant surgery, soft tissue grafting, guided bone regeneration, sinus augmentation, guided implant surgery, the treatment of peri-implantitis, and digital treatment planning.

Dr. Luan is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the ITI. Having lived in China, Canada, and the United States, Haipei speaks English and Mandarin. Outside the office, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, hiking, and going to concerts.
